Introduced Buddha’s life and the origin of Buddhism. Explained the Four Noble Truths, the Eightfold Path, karma, Anatta and rebirth. Laid the foundation for the rest of the group to explain how these ideas relate to psychology. Also wrote the work distribution report.
2. Aanya (2434601) - Buddhist Influence on Psychological Therapies:
Analyzed how Buddhist principles have been integrated into modern psychological therapies. Focused on the applications of mindfulness-based therapies like MBSR and MBCT, and their effectiveness in treating various psychological conditions by connecting them with case studies.
3. Eanna (2434620) - Neuroscientific Research & Cognitive Processing:
Explored the neuroscientific research backing the effectiveness of Buddhist practices like meditation and mindfulness. Bridged ancient wisdom with modern neuroscience. Worked on formatting, cover page and corrections.
4. Sharen (2434654) - Ethics, Philosophy, and Psychological Well-being:
Discussed the ethical and philosophical dimensions of Buddhism's contribution to psychological well-being. Connected Buddhism and its ethics with modern-day challenges.
5. Rajlekha (2434645) - Critical Perspectives & Conclusion:
Provided critical perspectives on integrating Buddhist principles into psychology, addressing potential limitations and challenges. Gave a well-rounded conclusion for the blog.
